Media Commission Appoints New Boards for State Media

The National Media Commission (NMC) has appointed new chairpersons and members of governing boards of the state-owned media.

A statement signed by Mr. George Sarpong, the Executive Secretary to the NMC, issued in Accra yesterday said the appointment was in consultation with the president and in accordance and section 2(1) (e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act449).

Graphic Communications Group Limited
For the Graphic Communication Group Limited board, it Named Prof. Omane Antwi as the Chairman, with Alhaji Mohammed Nii Kpakpo Addo. Dr. Eric Oduro Osae, Mr. Akwesi Owusu Agyeman and Ms. Edith Dankwa as some of the members.

The rest are Ms. Elaine Sam Kwami, Mr. Emmanuel Anyang Abeka, Mr. Solomon Twum Barimah and Mr. Kenneth Ashigbey, the Managing Director of the company.

New Times Corporation
The statement said the governing board of the New Times Corporation would be chaired by Ms. Rose Margaret Kpodo, with Mr. Nicholaus Kodzo Akyire, Mrs. Ruby Ivy Austin.

Tanlto Musah, Mr. Andrew Danso-Aninkor. Mr. Collin B. Essamuah, Ms. heila Minka Premo and Ms. Carol Annan, the Managing Director as members.

President leads ICAG delegation to 3rd ACOA 2015, Mauritius

Prof. K.B. Omane-Antwi, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), (ICAG), leads a delegation to the 3rd Africa Congress of Accountants in Mauritius from 12th to 14th May 2015.

The congress is being organized by the Pan-African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

The theme for the conference is, "Rising Africa: Partnering for results."

Leaders from the African and international accountancy, finance and business sectors around the globe, will converge at Mauritius for the 3rd Africa Congress of Accountants. ICAG continues to play a role in Africa.
